The coach of Ghana’s home-based Black Stars Maxwell Konadu has stated that his team must win their second match against their Libyan counterparts but has acknowledged that his team is aware the threats the latter can pull.
Ghana won in the opening group game of the 2014 CHAN Tournament against Congo in Group C and are hoping to emulate and improve on this. He made this known in an interview with GhanaFA.org
“We want to beat the Libyans and register a second straight win in this competition. This will be a very good achievement for us,” he stated.
He also acknowledged how tactically disciplined they are noting that “we [Ghana] know them very well because we played a friendly with them in Tunisia, which they beat us. We also saw their match against Ethiopia and we were able to detect some of their weaknesses. This is what football is all about. You detect your opponent’s weaknesses and you take full advantage.”
