Avram Grant Names Ghana’s Squad for Canada Friendly

Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant has finally revealed 19-man list of players who will feature in the West African country’s friendly game against the Canucks of Canada.

Among the players who made the list include Gideon Baah, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Afriyie Acquah and Jordan Ayew. Others are Major League Soccer duo Lloyd Ekow Sam and Kwadwo Poku who are expected to make their debut for the Stars.

However, the likes of captain Asamoah Gyan and Andre Dede Ayew are out of the list due to injury.

Ghana plays Canada on Tuesday, October 13 at the RFK Stadium in Washington with kick off set at 7.30pm.

Goalkeepers: Razak Braimah (Cordoba, Spain) and Fatau Dauda (AshGold)

Defenders: Harrison Afful (Columbus Crew, USA), Phil Ofosu-Ayeh (Eintracht Braunschweig, Germany), Jeffery Schlupp (Leicester City, England), Gideon Baah (HJK Helsinki, Finland), John Boye (Sivasspor, Turkey) and Edwin Gyimah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa).

Midfielders: Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese, Italy), Afriyie Acquah (Torino, Italy), Mubarak Wakaso (Las Palmas, Spain), Lloyd Ekow Sam (New York Red Bulls, USA) Bernard Mensah (Getafe, Spain), Alfred Duncan (Sassuolo, Italy), and Kwadwo Poku (New York City FC, USA).

Strikers: Jordan Ayew (Aston Villa, England), Abdul Majeed Waris, (Lorient, France) and David Accam (Chicago Fire, USA).
