The ‘Otoolege’ hitmaker who hinted in May this year about his return to highlife during an exclusive interview with Nathaniel Attoh on Autograph on Joy Prime has also noted in another interview that it is a gift from God to him.
He made this known in an interview with Afia Schwarzenegger on the Aben Wo Ha show on Adabraka-based Kasapa 102.3 FM.
“Highlife is not secular. Initially, it was difficult singing because I has found Christ. However, I have come to realise that it is a gift that God has given me and I can’t turn a blind eye to it,” he acknowledged.
The ‘Emmanuella‘ crooner who has recently released a single he titles ‘Alewa‘ with 2012 BET Awards Best International Act: Africa winner Sarkodie has stated that he is ready to perform the song and others on stages but has debunked the argument that his church member will be worried.
Notwithstanding this, his “U-turn” to highlife has received diverse opinions from the general public; while some think he will fly high others have argued that he will fall in a heap.
