In August this we tipped among other movies, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ as a must-watch movie and it eventually broke box office records.
There are lots of movies which will be released this month but you wouldn’t want to miss “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “Christmas Eve”, “Joy”, “Extraction” and “Daddy’s Home”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
It is an epic space opera film and it is the seventh installment in the Star Wars film series. It stars Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher and more Hollywood stars. The story is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983) where the Rebel Alliance and the Empire have become the Resistance and the First Order respectively. It was directed, co-produced, and co-written by J. J. Abrams. It will be premiered worldwide on Friday, December 18, 2015.
This is an American Christian comedy film which was released just last Friday. It is set in New York City and tells the stories of various characters as they become trapped in six different elevators on the titular evening. It stars Patrick Stewart, Julianna Guill, James Roday, Jon Heder, Cheryl Hines and Gary Cole. This film was directed by Mitch David, written by Davis and Tyler McKellar and produced by Davis and popular American TV host Larry King.
It’s an American biographical comedy-drama film about a struggling single mother of three children, Joy Mangan – a character played by Jennifer Lawrence, who invented the Miracle Mop and is the president of Ingenious Designs. It also stars Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Donna Mills, Virginia Madson and more. The film which was written and directed by David O. Russell will be released on Friday, December 25, 2015.
Away from the traditional Yuletide season family movies, “Extraction” is one of the few action-thriller films that must be watched this month. Written by Umair Aleem, it stars The Expendables 3 actor Kellan Lutz, Bruce Willis, Gina Carano, D. B. Sweeney and more. When a terrorist group kidnaps retired CIA field operative Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis), his son Harry Turner (Kellan Lutz), a government analyst who has been repeatedly turned down for field service, launches his own unsanctioned rescue operation. While evading highly skilled operatives, deadly assassins, and international terrorists, Harry finally puts his combat training to the test in a high stakes mission to find his father and to stop a terrorist plot. It will be released on Friday, December 18, 2015.
It is an upcoming American comedy film which is just perfect for the month. It stars Will Ferrell, who plays the role of a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Mark Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. It will be released on Christmas Day [Friday], December 25, 2015.
