TV3 Unveils Modern Studio

TV3, an eminent brand in Ghana’s television broadcasting sector has unveiled an ultramodern and multipurpose studio as part of the moves to add more life to news delivery in the country and across the continent.

The newly-opened studio is called the News Hub and will be the place where the station’s major news bulletins – Midday Live (12:00 noon) , News360 (7:00PM) and News@10 will take place.

At the launch were Dr. Ibn Chambas, Jacob Osei Yeboah, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin.

The studio consists of:

  • A 6×3 video wall which takes live feeds and video playback
  • A 3×3 video that takes live feeds and videos
  • Two interactive screens
  • Both take live feeds, videos and respond to touch events
  • A 25-feet jib arm that gives audience a high-angel, panoramic shots of the sets
  • Custom designed election software which runs on the two interactive touch screens.
  • Custom designed Business, Sports and Weather softwares to aired in fluid news presentation
  • Three complete interchangeable sets. i.e. Three-in-one studio set.
  • Adjourning interview sets with a maximum capacity of three people which has a replaceable background.

TV3 is currently owned by Media General Ghana which operates 3 92.7 FM (Accra), Onua 95.1 FM (Accra), Connect 97.1 FM (Takoradi) and Akoma 87.9 FM (Kumasi).
