Explaining further, AFRIMA Director of Brand Communications and Sponsorship, Ms. Matlou Tsotetsi said:“First, I must say we are impressed by the level of participation by Africa, on the continent and in the Diaspora, in the entry submission process. This is an encouraging success marker for us considering the fact that we surpassed the 1000 mark. We are receiving entries from African music professionals and journalists in countries like Finland, Germany, and other interesting locations.
“Secondly, some regions of Africa have appealed to us for this extension and we are obligated to accede to them in the spirit of our FACE IT value of Fairness, Accountability, Creativity, Excellence, Integrity and Transparency. There can be no fair play or competition if there is no equal representation. We hope this 14 days will give everyone a chance to get involved in AFRIMA”.
