The 2014 FIFA World Cup which is going on in Brasil has seen a lot of surprises and one of which apparently is the semi-final match between hosts Brasil and Germany. Die Mannschaft (the Team) as they are nicknamed, the latter trashed the former by 7 goals to 1.
The “German machine” opened the scores through Thomas Mueller in the 1st half. They eventually scored 4 more goals in the half and within 6 minutes through history maker, Miroslav Klose in the 23rd minute before Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira added 2 and 1 each.
During the 2nd half substitute Andre Schurrle netted a brace in the 69th and 79th minutes before Chelsea FC‘s Oscar got a consolation at the latter part of the game.
In the end, there were heart-breaking scenes on the faces of many Brasilians especially in the Estádio Mineirão at Belo Horizonte.
Germany advances to the grand-finale which will be held on Sunday at Estadio do Maracana and will meet the winner from Netherlands-Argentina game.
