Ghanaian entertainment powerhouse Zylofon Media continues to make great strides in the industry, thanks to its investment in resources.
Management team members and two signees to Zylofon Music — the music subsidiary of the company, have been spotted on Friday afternoon at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) heading to London for the Ghana Music Awards UK 2017.
They were spotted at the KIA on Friday afternoon — among them were highlife musician Kumi Guitar and rapper Obibini. The management members were Sammy Flex and Gh Kwaku (Communications), songstress Becca‘s manager Roger Kubi, Isaac Awuah and Abas — cinematographer and director, respectively.
The event takes place at the Gaumont Palace (Dominion Center), 9 The Broadway, High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DS tomorrow [Saturday], September 16, 2017.
Kumi Guitar earned nominations in the “Highlife Song of the Year” for his song ‘Brown Sugar’ as well as the “Highlife Artiste of the Year” category.
Decorated Ghanaian reggae/dancehall musician Stonebwoy also earned nomination in the “Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” and “Best Music Video of the Year” for ‘People Dey’ and ‘One Thing’, respectively. He was also nominated in the “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year” and “Artiste of the Year” catgories.
Becca, another signee to the label, who is currently in London was also nominated in the “Highlife Song of the Year”, “Best Collaboration of the Year” with respect to her song ‘Beshiwo’ as well as the “Highlife Artiste of the Year.”
