Baby Jet Airlines to Begin Operation Soon
Asamoah Gyan, captain of the Black Stars of Ghana has secured license to commence the operation of an airline business in Ghana.
The company, named Baby Jet Airlines was made known by the H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana at the 1st African Airshow held in Accra on Wednesday.
“I have been reliably informed that the captain of our senior national team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, Baby Jet has obtained a carrier license and is working feverishly to establish an airline obviously called, Baby Jet Airline,” the President said at the ongoing first-ever West African Air Expo.
Reports available to GlammyNews.com suggests that Baby Jet Airlines is expected to hit the runway soon and will commence with handling cargo, before it expands to airlift passengers.
Gyan, 31, owns the Baby Jet Promotions, Paradise Pac Water, Asa Band, JetLink Events and Logistics, Mama Vits Noodles and Rice. The Kayserispor forward and entrepreneur is also into transport, real estate, mining, etc.
This comes after the incumbent NPP government revealed plans to open up Ghana’s local airline industry to attract more players and drive competition. Among them include the removal of the 17.5% VAT on domestic air tickets.
