Miss Malaika Ghana 2017: Pearl Nyarko-Mensah Crowned Winner
Beautiful and intelligent Pearl Nyarko Mensah has emerged as the winner of Miss Malaika Ghana 2017 beauty pageant.
Pearl, 25, took home the coveted crown, a cash prize and car following a night of sublime performance from her and other beauty contestants.
The judges Becca, John Dumelo and Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku were impressed with the performance of all the contestants – including Han, Keila, Val, Johan, Eleanor, Abby, Sheila, Helen, Vanessa, and eventual winner Pearl.
Vanessa Xola Donkor, 22-year-old student from the University of Ghana won Miss Talent.
The official disc jockey for the event was DJ Ostin. The night was also graced with some fine performances from Ghana’s new crop of musicians Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Ebony, King Promise, and Adina.
The grand finale of the beauty pageant which took place at the National Theatre in Accra, Ghana on Saturday night also saw Vanessa and Helen emerge as the first and second-runners up, respectively.
Pearl, a student from the University of Ghana, reading an MPhil degree, takes over from Miss Malaika 2016 winner Leah Brown, who also beat other nine (9) beautiful and intelligent young ladies barely a year ago.
