Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Exclusive Men of The Year Awards (EMY Africa), Daniel Kojo Soboh has rubbished claims that his organisation owes Sally Frimpong an amount of GHC700,000.
As monitored by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture And Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, Kojo Soboh in an interview with Feeling Daddy on Empire 102.7 FM in Takoradi explained his outfit paid Sally Frimpong for all works done for them since the beginning of the event.
“We’ve worked with her (Sally) in the past. We worked with her since we started the event. We made her do media and do the publicity and we paid her for all the work that she’s done but we’re not working with her this year…” Kojo Soboh said.
Asked if indeed Sally Frimpong, CEO of Lioness Media had been paid for the services she rendered for the awards scheme, Kojo responded in the affirmative saying “Yes yes yes.”
On Friday August 10, 2018, lawyers of Sally Frimpong served the organisers of the Exclusive Men of The Year Awards (EMY Africa) a demand notice requesting that their client be paid an amount of GHC700,000 for unpaid services rendered the organisation.
Kojo Soboh however expressed surprise at the demand notice especially as he considers Sally Frimpong a good friend.
“I have a good relationship with her that is why it comes as a surprise to me. I honestly did not expect this from her but our lawyers are dealing with it.”
Lawyers for Sally Frimpong have since given the organisers of the awards scheme a week within which to respond.
